Angie Lewin

I live and work in North East Scotland where the landscape, viewed through intricately detailed interlocking plant forms, plays a vital role in my work. Focusing on the structure of native flora I observe these plants through the seasons and how they are shaped by their environment and climate.  My work is also based on time spent on the west coast of Scotland, the Outer Hebrides and the Norfolk coastline.

I work in a range of processes: screenprint, linocut, wood engraving, lithography and watercolour. I often create collages of handprinted Japanese papers applied to objects collected on walking and sketching trips.
